MARÈS BALLET is committed to providing the best education in Classical Ballet and complementary disciplines in Ciutadella and the whole Minorca island. As a Dance Studio it was established in 2021, with completely renovated facilities adapted for dance. Joel Colmenero, a former professional dancer in various countries, and with extensive teaching experience, works individually with students, from beginners to any age (5 to 70 years old), ballet enthusiasts and professionals, to develop your skills, improve your physical well-being and foster your passion for dance.

JOEL COLMENERO SOLER
Joel Colmenero is a former professional dancer and classical dance teacher. He trained as a teenager in schools in Barcelona, such as Company&Company and Studio Isadora. From a very young age he had the opportunity to train at the American Ballet Theater in New York, and graduated from the Royal Ballet School of Antwerp, in Belgium. He completed the improvement course at the Víctor Ullate School in Madrid, and joined the young company of the same director.
As a professional dancer, he was part of the Corella Ballet in Segovia, led by Ángel Corella, where he participated in the productions of “La Bayadere” and “Swan Lake”. As soloist dancer he was part of the Vienna Festival Ballet (London, United Kingdom), Ballet West of Scotland and at the “Atlantic City Ballet” located in New Jersey (USA)
As a teacher, since 2014, he has worked in dance schools in Barcelona such as Sa Nau, Magdanza and Aules. From 2017 he has been a classical dance teacher at Alba Estudi de Dansa in Maó until 2021, when he decides to establish his own MARÈS BALLET school in Ciutadella de Menorca.

OUR STUDIO
Located 5 minutes walk from sa Contramurada, and two minutes from the car park of the Canal Salat Cinema, it is a completely adapted and renovated diaphanous studio, with a cushioned platform specially designed for dance, air conditioning, air renewal and changing rooms, as well as an outdoor area of 80 square meters to be able to hold classes even outdoors.

Joel Colmenero is a certified instructor of BALLET FIT ESPAÑA. A discipline that is based on the teaching of classical ballet from its most fitness version www.balletfit.dance
CLASSICAL BALLET FOR CHILDREN AND ADULTS
MARÈS BALLET offers professional training for all levels, both for children and adults. Under a principle of individual or small classes, it is about perfecting each movement and enjoying the experience and evolution at all times.

No question is insignificant
How many students are in each class?
It´s possible to take individual classes, in the center and at home, and group classes. In the case of Ballet Fit the groups have a maximum of 8 people, in the case of Ballet a maximum of 5 people.
Do I need to have previous experience?
It is not necessary to have experience. Being small groups, each training is adapted to the needs of the students, and above all it's never too late to start!
Can I try a class?
Of course, contact us and we will look for the best time and the best group so you can see what the Ballet consists of and everything it can offer you.
